Welcome to
Mrs. Schario's
Kindergarten Class
My name is Stephanie Schario and it is my privilege to be your child's Kindergarten teacher. Growing up outside of Garrettsville, I also attended James A. Garfield Schools and I feel very fortunate to be a part of the James A. Garfield Elementary staff because this is such a wonderful district. I received my Bachelors Degree in Early Childhood Education from Kent State University and will be starting my masters this fall. This will be my third year teaching Kindergarten and I am very excited about this year's class. I know it will be a great year!
During the school year our class will work together, play together, learn together, and grow together. We will do many hands-on activities where the children are actively engaged in lessons. This allows them to explore and discover things on their own and with the guidance of their peers and myself. My goal is to instill a love for learning in the children, challenge them, and show my students that learning is enjoyable and exciting.
I am looking forward to working with you and your child to make this a successful year both academically and socially. I will be asking for parent volunteers throughout the school year for many events and would love for parents to come in and help during the week for centers. If you have any questions or concerns please feel free to contact me.
