Teacher Request Procedure for 2009/2010
If you would like to request a teacher for your child to have at the elementary school for the 2009/2010 school year, please submit your request in writing by Tuesday, April 14, 2009. Any request received after April 14th will be returned to the sender and will not be considered when finalizing class lists.
In your request please include your top three teacher choices and any other information you believe to be relevant. We cannot guarantee that your 1st choice can be honored, therefore if you choose to list less than three choices you are limiting your input in the placement process. You may send your written request to Mrs. Brown at the elementary office. Parents are not expected to write a request, this is simply an option for parents wishing to do so. Your child's current teacher will place him/her for the next school year.
Our staff considers many factors when working to create class lists and it becomes a very lengthy process. Written requests for specific teachers will be considered as part of that process with the ultimate goal being to create balanced classes, which provide a quality learning environment for all students.
