All classes are designed around 'hands-on' learning and familiarization of tools and equipment.
CLASS DESCRIPTIONS
Industrial Arts I This industrial arts course consists of woodworking and mechanical drawing. Woodworking will include an introduction to the hand tools, power tools, and machines typically used in the woodworking industry as well as for recreation. Mechanical drawing will include an introduction to reading blueprints and scale drawings as they relate to projects in the class.
Industrial Arts II This course consists of woodworking and mechanical drawing. Woodworking will include advanced study of the design, layout, planning, and assembly of a variety of projects. Mechanical drawing will include an advanced understanding of reading, drawing, and dimensioning blueprints and scale drawings as they relate to class projects.
Industrial Arts III This course is designed for those students interested in advanced knowledge in the study of woodworking and drafting.
General Maintenance IA General maintenance is an informative hands-on course designed to introduce students to general maintenance and repairs required in the ownership of a home, including plumbing, electrical, rough and finish carpentry.
General Maintenance IB General maintenance is an informative hands-on course designed to introduce students to general maintenance and repairs required in the ownership of a home, including plumbing, electrical, rough and finish carpentry.
