Gifted Services

Giftedness is a greater awareness, a greater sensitivity, and a greater ability to understand and transform perceptions into intellectual and emotional experiences.

--Annemarie Roeper

Welcome to Gifted Services at James A. Garfield.  Identified gifted students are clustered together in classes and served through an intervention specialist model.  Mr. Hatcher collaborates, plans, and team-teaches with general educators to provide an appropriate educational environment.  Special activities and seminars are held for identified gifted visual art students and for high school students.  Contact Mr. Hatcher with any questions or concerns.
