This class is designed to introduce 7^th grade math skills and concepts to prepare for Math 8.  The following are some of the skills which will be covered in this class:

 Pre-Algebra

Course Description

This class is designed to introduce pre-algebra math skills and concepts to prepare for Algebra.  The following are some of the skills, which will be covered in this class:

 Whole numbers                        Decimals                     

Integers/Algebraic Expressions

Equations/Inequalities                Graphing                     

Rational/Irrational numbers

Measurement                            Percents                      

Polynomials     

Area/Volume                            Geometry                    

Proportions/Ratios

Exponents/Powers

 Daily Work and Homework

1. All Math assignments are to be done in PENCIL.
2. Homework is given almost everyday.
3. All homework is reviewed/checked by me or the student.
4. Full credit is given to homework that is neat, complete, and if ample work is shown.
5. If majority of the problems are incorrect the student will redo the problems.
6. Assignments are expected to be turned in on time.
7. If absent, the student is responsible to see me about the missed work.  A calendar is provided displaying all assignments for the month.

 Math Notebook

            Each student should have a three ring binder.  It is advised to keep all assignments, handouts, quizzes, tests, and notes in this binder.  This notebook is a source to review for tests and allows the student and parent to monitor their achievement.
