Math Course Description
This class is designed to introduce 7th grade math skills and concepts to prepare for Math 8. The following are some of the skills which will be covered in this class:

Algebra I Course Description
This class is designed to introduce a full year of Algebra I skillls and concepts. The following are some of the skills which will be covered in this class.
Real Numbers Graphs Equations/Inequalities Graphing Quadratic Functions Exponential Functions Slope/ x & y intercepts Solving Systems Radical Expressions Functions
Daily Work and Homework
- All Math assignments are to be done in PENCIL.
- Homework is given almost everyday.
- All homework is reviewed/checked by me or the student.
- Full credit is given to homework that is neat, complete, and if ample work is shown.
- If majority of the problems are incorrect the student will redo the problems.
- Assignments are expected to be turned in on time.
- If absent, the student is responsible to see me about the missed work. A calendar is provided displaying all assignments for the month.

Math Notebook
Each student should have a three ring binder. It is advised to keep all assignments, handouts, quizzes, tests, and notes in this binder. This notebook is a source to review for tests and allows the student and parent to monitor their achievement.
Grading
The grading policy is based on points. These points are from homework, tests, quizzes, assignments, and projects.
Calculator
Calculators will be used on a daily basis. The recommended calculator is the TEXAS INSTRUMENT Model: TI - 30 IIS. You may purchase this calculator at Wal-Mart, Rite-Aides, Staples, and other stores for about $15.
