- Clean up!
- Be Respectful.
- My desk is OFF limits.
The best time to reach me during the school day is during by plan time from 7:36 until 8:30. The school number is 330-527-2151. My extension is 534. If you leave a message I will return it as soon as I am able. Your child's agenda is also a good communication tool. You may also email me at nmulligan@mail.garfield.sparcc.org. I check my email every morning.
In Language Arts we will be reading, reading, reading. We will read a variety of trade books, as well as completing units in poetry, mythology, and biographies. We will do projects connected to each book or unit. We will also be using Buckle Down to help us prepare for the Ohio Achievement Test in May.
In Math we will be using Prentice Hall Mathematics Course 2. This book, along with Buckle Down, helps prepare students for the Ohio Achievement Test. We will be using calculators in class. If you bought one for Mr. Cozad's class last year, you may use that one, otherwise I have a supply in class.
In Resource we will work on any homework you may have to complete. You are expected to be working and cooperative in Resource. You are expected to bring homework with you when you come to class. Trips to your locker are discouraged. I will assist you with any work that you need to complete. It is not always possible to get everything done in one 50 minute period, but most days we will be able to complete everything. Studying for spelling tests should be done at home. We will review for tests in Science, Social Studies, Math and Language Arts, but will not have time to study as much as necessary for each test. This will need to be done at home.
Working together is the key to a successful year for all students.
