American Legion Buckeye Boys & Girls State This programs provides young men and women the opportunity to participate in a "hands on " workshop in the principles and organization of Ohio government. Junior Statesmen Foundation, 2008 Summer Programs If politics is your passion, this may be an OUTSTANDING opportunity for you. The JSA offers summer programs at Georgetown, Yale, Princeton & Stanford that provide students with the opportunity to participate in an advanced college curriculum focused on U.S. Government, U.S. History, Political Science and Speech Communication. This year is an especially unique year for the program because students will have the option to attend both the Democratic National Convention as well as the Republican National Convention. Students currently in grades 8-12 may apply.

University of Dayton, Summer Honors Institute This program is offered to students who are interested in engineering. In order to participate, students must have just completed ninth or tenth grade, be a resident of Ohio and be identified as gifted according to Ohio Administrative Code 3301-51-15. Students will have the opportunity to design and build robots, solve real-world engineering problems and network with experienced engineers.
