Good morning. I know this message is reaching you as we all may be feeling a heavy weight. Our entire community, State and Country are feeling the same way, and our staff and I are right beside you in carrying this same heavy burden. As parents, you have done your part, followed the plan and kept COVID at bay for a very long time. We appreciate how serious you have taken our safety measures and all the support you have provided.
We have come to a time where even our best efforts to stay in school five days a week are simply not enough. With a rise in cases both in our schools and in our community we must adjust. Today there is no need to wait on the Governor’s address. Just moments ago I spoke with the Portage County Health Director and together we have decided it is safest for our students and staff to move to our hybrid model for two weeks in an effort to try and slow the spread.
Beginning on Monday, November 23rd through Friday, December 4th JAG will be learning in our hybrid model. The calendars are already created and Monday, November 23rd will start as a day for students in group A.

The work and commitment you have made thus far is commendable and none of us should view this as a loss. This is simply a proactive response to our changing environment so that we can keep your kids and our staff safe. We will continue to monitor cases and spread within our community. We will consult with the health department and rely on their guidance to move forward with safety as our first priority.
We will evaluate our situation as it develops and communicate to you along the way. We appreciate the trust you put in us to keep your children safe.
