Greater Portage Athletic Conference (GPAC) – Commissioner
The Greater Portage Athletic Conference (GPAC) is seeking qualified candidates for the position of Commissioner, effective immediately.
The Commissioner serves as the chief administrative officer of the league and is responsible for day-to-day operations, financial oversight, enforcement of league bylaws, coordination of league meetings, and serving as the primary liaison to the Ohio High School Athletic Association (OHSAA). The position functions as an independent contractor and works collaboratively with superintendents, athletic directors, and the GPAC Executive Board to maintain the league’s mission and competitive integrity.
Qualifications include:
Knowledge of high school athletic administration and OHSAA regulations
Experience with budgeting, financial management, and record keeping
Strong communication and conflict-resolution skills
Ability to act impartially in representing all member schools
This is a two-year contract position, evaluated biennially by the GPAC Voting Body.
