Attention Middle School Families... We are thrilled to announce our next group of recipients for the prestigious "G-Men of the Month" recognition at Garfield Middle School! Through the G-Men of the Month Program, we celebrate the outstanding achievements and embodiment of our District's Core Values by three remarkable individuals:
Haley (8): Staff members had mentioned that Haley is respectful, has a positive attitude, and is always ready to learn. They had also said that she consistently completes her assignments on time, asks questions to help keep classroom discussions going, and it is obvious that she is going to be a lifelong learner.
Other 8th Grade Nominees for the month included: Sabrina Evans, Kamryn Piriak, Lucy Lallathin, and Merrit Duncan.
Maylyn (7): Staff members had mentioned that Maylyn is very intelligent and that they can always count on her to have the correct answers when times get tough. They had also mentioned that she has had As all year and that she has excelled on all of her projects and tests.
Other 7th Grade Nominees for the month included: Daisy Depew, Everett Thompson, Andrew West, Katlyn Knerem, Ross Van Auken, Alex Washington, Lillian Callahan, and Caden Bosela.
Mr. Minnick (Staff): Students have said that Mr. Minnick is really funny, nice, and that he makes class enjoyable. They had also mentioned that he tells good stories, helps them when they are stuck, does not give out homework on the weekends, and that he simply makes the middle school a better place.
Other Staff Nominees for the month included: Mr. Gilbert, Mr. Weber, and Mr. M. Pfleger.
The G-Men of the Month recognition is particularly special because it is nominated and voted on by both students and staff, highlighting the unity and support within our school. It serves as a testament to the hard work, dedication, and kindness that are at the heart of our GMS community.
