Seniors & Families of Senior Students,
JAG School Counseling is hosting a FAFSA Completion Night on Wednesday, January 24th at 6pm at the JAG Elementary Charles C. Klamer Center. This event is targeted toward any senior student who is intending to continue their education at a college, university, or tech/trade school. The Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) is a required step in order to receive grants and loans.
This process may seem daunting, so we're here to help you complete this! JAG will have college financial aid representatives on site to meet with you, answer your questions, and to help you complete and submit your FAFSA. So whether you still need to start your FAFSA or simply have questions about financial aid, this event is designed for you!
In order to complete your FAFSA with the financial aid reps at this event, please be sure to bring: student's SSN, parent's SSN, driver's license ID number (if applicable), and federal tax information (2022 returns). Additionally, the student and parent should each set up their own FSA ID. You can do so here: https://studentaid.gov/fsa-id/create-account/launch.
We highly encourage senior students & families to attend for help with the FAFSA!

On Tuesday, October 17th, Juniors at JAG HS will take the ASVAB. This is the Armed Services Vocational Aptitude Battery. The focus for our students is on the vocational aptitude results and the related career interest inventory that is connected to the ASVAB. A few weeks after taking the ASVAB, students will explore career opportunities and occupational interests based on their scores on this test. The goal is that we're getting our students actively thinking about workforce opportunities or college majors that align with their interests and abilities. Please contact Mr. Livingston if you have any questions about the ASVAB.

High School Drama Club: Fall show shirts for "ADVENTURE" are now available for order online at jagarts.itemorder.com. Order by October 31st to ensure you have your shirt before the show dates.

Senior Workshop Week is here! On Tuesday, seniors will get a deep dive into organizing and submitting their college applications as well as how to request their official transcripts. On Thursday, our seniors will receive information on what they can do now to start making preparations for workforce opportunities or military enlistment. Seniors are highly encouraged to attend whichever workshop makes most sense for them (or both!). This information will also be shared in the Class of 2024 Google Classroom or students can see Mr. Livingston with any questions. Also be on the lookout for FAFSA Financial Aid Workshops coming this winter!
